Maggie Louie

Maggie Louie is the founder and currently serves as the President of Otto, a company specializing in JavaScript security solutions. Otto focuses on protecting websites from client-side cyber threats, particularly those arising from third-party JavaScript, which is prevalent in e-commerce and digital advertising. Louie’s journey into cybersecurity began while working on digital products for the L.A. Times, where she uncovered significant issues related to ad fraud and bot traffic, leading her to establish Otto to address these vulnerabilities.12

Under her leadership, Otto has developed innovative tools aimed at democratizing internet security, including a Chrome extension for consumers and various enterprise solutions for businesses. Recently, Louie transitioned from her role as CEO to President, allowing Wayne Grundy to take over as CEO, while she continues to focus on intellectual property development and market strategy for the company.24
