Madhumitha Krishnan
Immigration and Civil Rights Fellow with Representative Pramila Jayapal
Madhumitha Krishnan is a young professional with a background in political science and a focus on immigration and civil rights issues. She served as an Immigration & Civil Rights Fellow with Representative Pramila Jayapal at the U.S. House of Representatives from 2021 to 2022.2
Krishnan is currently pursuing her education at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is studying Political Science and History, with a particular interest in Eastern Europe and the history of law.1 She is passionate about strengthening democracy both domestically and internationally, with a focus on voter rights, voter mobilization, immigration law reform, and enhancing accountability in democratic institutions.1
During her time at UC Berkeley, Krishnan has been involved in various activities and organizations:
