He has a strong background in journalism funding and sustainability, having initiated impactful projects like the DNI Fund, the GNI Innovation Challenge program, and the Journalism Emergency Relief Fund during his tenure at Google.

His career in the news industry dates back to 1994, with significant roles in prominent organizations such as Associated Press Television, United News & Media, BBC News, and Google where he held various key positions in strategic relations, partnerships, and business development.
