Lynnie Westafer

Lynnie Westafer is a graduate student therapist at Syracuse University, currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), expected to graduate in 2025. She is actively involved with the Transgender Affirmative Support Team (Trans Team), which provides specialized counseling services to transgender individuals and the LGBTQ+ community. This initiative, established to meet the increasing demand for gender-affirming therapy, focuses on offering support and training to graduate students in the MFT program.13

In addition to her role as a therapist, Westafer has interests in writing, journalism, and filmmaking. She describes herself as a "hopeful skeptic" and a "haiku enthusiast," indicating a creative and reflective approach to her work and personal interests.24
