Meet Samantha Lavin, an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and producer with over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She is the founder of Fair Fight Films, a production company that focuses on producing films and television shows that showcase women from all walks of life. Samantha is a graduate of Purchase College, SUNY, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theater.
Samantha's professional experience includes working as a Director/Assistant Director at the Directors Guild of America for over ten years. She has also worked on popular TV shows such as CSI NY and Scrubs, as well as blockbuster films like Cursed and Wet Hot American Summer. Additionally, she has written and produced for E Entertainment.
Among her notable accomplishments is the creation of the show "Out of the Frying Pan," which was an optioned reality show by Comcast Entertainment. She also directed and wrote the award-winning short film "In Memory of Me," which was sold to LOGO TV. Her current film in development, "7 on 10," has already made it to the second round of consideration for the Sundance Lab and is a finalist for the Roy Dean Summer Film Grant.
Samantha's expertise is in filmmaking, writing, producing, directing, and assistant directing. She is passionate about telling women's stories that showcase themes of personal identity, camaraderie, and overcoming personal obstacles.
