Lynne Anderson

Lynne Anderson is a prominent figure in the UK media landscape, serving as the Deputy Chief Executive of the News Media Association (NMA). She has held this position since 2012, overseeing the association's efforts to represent national, regional, and local newspapers in both print and online formats. Prior to her role at NMA, Anderson had a successful career as a journalist and editor, which has informed her leadership in the media sector.13

In addition to her responsibilities at NMA, she has also been involved with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), where she was appointed to its board in 2018, further emphasizing her commitment to journalism education and training.45

Anderson's tenure at NMA came to an end in March 2024, after more than three decades in various roles within the industry.21 Her contributions have been significant in advocating for the interests of news media in an evolving digital landscape.
