Lynn Stout
Distinguished Professor of Corporate and Business Law at Cornell University
Lynn Stout was a Distinguished Professor of Corporate and Business Law at Cornell University and an internationally recognized expert in corporate law, corporate governance, financial regulation, and ethical behavior.13 She was born on September 14, 1957, and passed away on April 16, 2018, at the age of 60 after a long struggle with cancer.23
Academic Career
Stout received her B.A. summa cum laude from Princeton University, along with a Master's in Public Policy from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School, and a J.D. from Yale Law School.3 Before joining Cornell in 2012, she held positions at several prestigious institutions:
