Lyndsey Zhang

Lyndsey Zhang is a PhD research student at Henley Business School, University of Reading, where her research focuses on corporate governance and sustainability, particularly the roles of board directors in corporate sustainability initiatives.45

With over 20 years of corporate experience, Zhang has worked with various Chinese multinational companies, including private firms, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and overseas-listed companies. Her professional background includes leading global expansions, fundraising on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and managing cross-border mergers and acquisitions.23

Zhang has authored works on corporate governance in China, providing insights into the challenges and opportunities for Chinese companies in the global market. Her book, Corporate Governance in China Seen Through a Practitioner's Lens, discusses the evolving landscape of corporate governance in China, emphasizing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.1

Her unique perspective is shaped by her experiences as a Chinese national residing in the U.S., allowing her to bridge cultural and business practices between the East and West.13
