Lyn Hill

Lyn Hill is an accomplished finance and investment professional with a dynamic career spanning 18 years across corporate finance, early-stage investment, and social impact sector. Her diverse work experience has equipped her with exceptional technical knowledge, commercial astuteness, and soft skill competencies. As a highly motivated individual, she excels in environments that present new challenges and opportunities for personal growth. Her strength lies in her ability to adapt, learn quickly and come up with practical solutions.

She has made exceptional contributions in early-stage investment as the Director of Oxford Seed Fund, the Director of the Skoll Venture Awards, and advisor to the investment panel of The Venture ($1.0 million global social enterprise competition). Her strong finance and M&A background as a qualified Chartered Accountant and former transaction advisor with KPMG makes her an asset to any organization. Additionally, her experience in structuring investment fund vehicles through work with Opportunity International has helped her develop a robust investment portfolio.

Lyn's experience in developing African markets, which includes Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa, and Asia (India and the Philippines) has given her extensive networks and a deep understanding of various markets. She has global networks and experience with impact measurement models and methodologies, including IRIS, Progress Out of Poverty Index (PPI), Social Return on Investment (SROI), impact evaluation studies, and other social performance management metrics relating to microfinance.

Lyn graduated in Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand, a Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Oxford - Said Business School, and a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours) from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Currently, she is exploring strategic and operational roles within small to medium-sized sustainability-focused businesses.
