Luis Fernandez

Luis Fernandez is an accomplished educator and researcher with a diverse background in education and science. He graduated from the Stanford Teacher Education Program in 2015 and holds a Master's Degree in Education from Stanford University. Luis has extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development, specializing in differentiated instruction, project-based learning, and English Language Development.

In terms of his scientific expertise, Luis has a rich educational history, including a Ph.D. in Immunology from Tufts University, a Master's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Santo Tomas. He further honed his skills through postdoctoral studies in Immunology, Stem Cell Biology, and Hematology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Throughout his career, Luis has been associated with prestigious institutions such as Stanford University Medical Center, Tufts University, and University of California Berkeley Extension. He has held various roles including Science Faculty at Drew School, Science Teacher at San Rafael High School, and Instructor at University of California Berkeley Extension. Luis has also contributed as a Visiting Scientist at Tufts University and as an Adjunct Instructor of Biology at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Endicott College.

In his teaching journey, Luis student-taught Biology at Mission High School in San Francisco and conducted design-based learning sessions for middle school students at Columbia Middle School in Sunnyvale.
