Lucy Reckseit is a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in counseling mid-stage and late-stage companies.

She is recognized for pioneering the 'fractional' or part-time general counsel model in 1998, a concept widely adopted by companies to address their in-house legal requirements.

After obtaining her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Lucy clerked for the Honorable Joseph W. Hatchett in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Her career includes working in general corporate and securities practice at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in Palo Alto and serving as Vice President, Legal Affairs for Merit Behavioral Care Corporation, where she developed her fractional general counsel business model after the company's acquisition by Magellan Health Services.

Lucy's expertise lies in general corporate law, offering strategic planning, financings, contract negotiation and drafting, licensing, corporate governance, conflict resolution, settlement negotiations, and litigation management.

She holds a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, a B.A. in Psychology from Vassar College, and studied M.Ed. in Developmental Psychology and Early Childhood Education at Tulane University.

Lucy has held various advisory and legal positions in organizations like Socratic Sciences, Inc., Benetech, ViridisChem, Inc., and others, contributing her legal acumen and strategic insights to these entities.
