Liza Lambert Henshaw

Liza Lambert Henshaw is the President of Global Citizen, a nonprofit organization focused on ending extreme poverty by 2030. She assumed this role in February 2022, becoming the organization's first president after serving as Chief Operating Officer since 2016. In her current position, Henshaw is responsible for leading the mission, vision, values, and strategy of Global Citizen across four continents. She also oversees expansion plans in key global markets and leads revenue-generation initiatives, including corporate partnerships and individual giving.134

Before joining Global Citizen, Henshaw held various leadership roles at the Environmental Defense Fund for over 13 years, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Development Officer, and Chief Information Officer. Her extensive experience in nonprofit leadership has been instrumental in building a strong executive team and diversifying funding opportunities at Global Citizen.123

Under her leadership, Global Citizen has launched significant campaigns such as "Power Our Planet," aimed at mobilizing funding for climate action and poverty alleviation. Henshaw's work emphasizes collaboration with global leaders and organizations to drive impactful change.23
