Liz Eddy

Liz Eddy is the CEO and Co-Founder of Lantern, a venture-backed Public Benefit Corporation focused on end-of-life planning and support.12 She has a history of building companies that address taboo topics, having founded her first social venture at age 15 focusing on dating abuse and domestic violence education in schools.1
Prior to Lantern, Eddy worked at DoSomething.org and was part of the founding team of Crisis Text Line, where she served as Director of Communications.1 She holds a BBA from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Science in Strategic Communications from Columbia University.1
Eddy launched Lantern in 2018 with her co-founder Alyssa, whom she describes as her "entrepreneurial soulmate".1 The idea for Lantern came from Eddy's personal experience with loss and the challenges of navigating end-of-life planning.2
