Liz Bloom
Policy Advisor and Speechwriter, White House Domestic Policy Council
Liz Bloom is a policy advisor and speechwriter on the White House Domestic Policy Council, where she works on LGBTQI+ policy, antisemitism, and other issues.3 In her role, she leads the implementation of the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism.1
Prior to her current position in the Biden-Harris Administration, Bloom worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the front office of Chair Gary Gensler.32 At the SEC, she was responsible for drafting speeches, Congressional testimony, and other written materials on behalf of Chair Gensler.2
Bloom's educational background includes:
- A joint M.B.A./M.P.P. from Harvard Business School and the Kennedy School of Government, where she studied the intersection of business and public policy2
- An undergraduate degree in Social Studies from Harvard College2
Before entering government service, Bloom worked as a journalist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, where she covered baseball and previously wrote about classical music.2
In her current role, Bloom is involved in shaping and communicating important policy initiatives, particularly in areas related to combating antisemitism and advancing LGBTQI+ rights.
