Simona Chiose, PhD, is a strategic communications leader in the higher education sector, currently serving as the Divisional Lead of Public Affairs at the University of Toronto since July 2021.1 With over two decades of experience, she has worked across journalism, research administration, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, and project management.1
In her current role, Chiose leads public affairs campaigns highlighting the university's impact on innovation and competitiveness in leading sectors. She develops strategic research projects focused on life sciences, advanced technologies, and skills development, while also launching public discussion series that bring top researchers into dialogue with government stakeholders.1
