Lisel Welden is a marketing professional who has held positions at companies like Nike, Lyft, and Bleacher Report.34 In December 2021, she joined the board of directors of the Women on Boards (WOB) Project, a nonprofit focused on improving gender diversity on the boards of consumer brands.1

The WOB Project, launched in 2020 as a collaboration between VMG Partners and several investment groups, has placed 17 women on the boards of various companies in its first year.1 Welden's addition to the WOB Project board demonstrates the organization's commitment to expanding its own team as it works to diversify the boards of consumer brands.1

Welden is also a USSF licensed soccer coach who focuses on using soccer to support the growth of confident, young women.2 She is invested in hiring and nurturing talent and has served on the Board of Directors of Women on Boards Project and as a Founding Member of Chief.
