Lisa Tatum Brown, MA, CEM

Lisa Tatum is a seasoned emergency management professional with over 13 years of experience leading and supporting volunteer-based teams in creating and sustaining a culture of preparedness, response, and recovery. She holds a Master of Arts in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Arizona State University and a BA in English from Oklahoma State University. Tatum is a proud graduate of the Dallas County Management and Leadership Academy, Class of 2020. She has served in various roles related to disaster preparedness and response, such as Planning Section Chief at Dallas County, Senior Manager of Disaster Preparedness at VolunteerNow (USA), Program Developer/Coordinator at Student Conservation Association, and Disaster Specialist in Logistics at American Red Cross. Tatum's service-focused career also includes positions as an AmeriCorps Preparedness Specialist at American Red Cross, Service Learning Coordinator/Team Leader at AmeriCorps NCCC, and Program Director at Trinity River Mission. Through her experience and expertise, Tatum is committed to serving her community and promoting emergency preparedness.
