Lisa Ellman

Lisa Ellman is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background spanning law, policy, and government service. She holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence in Public Policy and Law from the University of Chicago Law School, as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan.

Lisa has held various significant roles in prestigious organizations. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Commercial Drone Alliance and has previously been the Co-Executive Director of the same organization. Her previous roles include Partner and UAS Practice Chair at Hogan Lovells, Counsel at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, and Chief Counselor for the Open Government Partnership at OSTP OMB in The White House. Additionally, she has worked in roles at the U.S. Department of Justice, The White House, and the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team.

Lisa's extensive experience also includes serving as the Legal Director in the Office of Presidential Personnel at The White House, Deputy Agency Review Director during the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team, and as part of the Policy and Political Team at Obama for America. She has further enriched her professional background through roles as an Associate at Mayer Brown and as the Deputy Policy Director in the Office of Elizabeth Edwards at Kerry Ingredients.
