Linda Cassens Stoian is a multi-disciplinary professional with a diverse educational background including Political Science, History, Economics, studio arts, photography, architecture, performance, and art history.
With experience as a photographer and writer at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in Washington, D.C., New York, Linda has focused on the production of space through performative and participatory projects in both landscape and urban settings since 1995.
She has curated performance and new media in various national and international art events, such as LISTE: The Young Art Fair and VIPER International Festival for Film, Video, New Media and Performance Index.
Linda is actively involved in establishing a critical foundation for performance studies in Switzerland, with research projects centered on contextual and participatory elements in space production.
Having presented her works and research at numerous national and international conferences, Linda has also published in peer-reviewed journals like Performance Research.
She has taught at The Cooper Union in New York and several art academies in Switzerland, with a key role in founding the student exhibition and performance festival project 'a c t'.
