Leslie Ware

Leslie Ware is the CEO of Alpha Health & Wellness, DPC, a direct primary care practice that focuses on health care without the need for insurance. With over 25 years of experience, she is an Internal and Family Medicine Physician Assistant and Health Educator specializing in treating chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues.

Leslie's passion for health and medicine began during her service in the United States Air Force Reserves as a medical service technician. She excels in patient care, health promotion, and education, which led her to serve as an Adjunct Professor in the Dept of Physician Assistant Studies at Lenoir Rhyne University PA Program.

She has a strong interest in health care pipeline development and has been actively involved in organizations like the North Carolina Diabetes Advisory Council, Nebraska Diabetes Advisory Council, and the HRSA Health Disparities Chronic Disease Collaborative. Leslie has also been a speaker for Novartis Pharmaceutical and took on various roles in Federally Qualified Community Health Centers.

Recognized for her expertise in behavior change theories, Leslie designed successful health promotion programs and therapeutic lifestyle change initiatives that brought significant health improvements to patients. Her efforts have led to award recognitions like the Cafe Mocha Radio Salute Her "Champion for Change" award and The National Action Network's Best PA Award.

Leslie holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has furthered her knowledge through an Executive Management Program at the University of Richmond - Robins School of Business.
