Leona Teixeira

Leona Teixeira is a successful entrepreneur, innovative product lead, and former psychology student of McGill University. She is well-regarded for her experience in the technology, entertainment, and communication industries, having worked with respected companies such as GE Digital, Rogers Communications, and Mars Discovery District. Leona's entrepreneurial prowess led her to co-found Openx, a startup, whose mission is to bring people-centered design to tech innovation, and served as its Chief Operations Officer. Her valuable knowledge in corporate strategy enables her to seek out new opportunities to grow businesses, demonstrated through her previous work as an analyst at Rogers Communications. At McCormick Rankin Corporation (MRC), Leona saw the conception of the West Toronto Diamond Project, where she gained an early understanding of public relations, advocacy, and policy development. Leona continued to hone her technical knowledge by spending time as an Information Systems Manager at Blackstone Fine Foods.
