Leon Roberts

Dr. Leon Roberts is a highly accomplished medical professional with a diverse background in various healthcare and emergency medical service organizations. He studied Medicine at Leeds University where he completed his MBChB degree in 2000. Prior to his university education, he attended Wales High School.

Dr. Roberts has held several significant roles throughout his career, including his current position as the Executive Medical Director at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Previously, he served as a HEMS Doctor at The Air Ambulance Service, and played a crucial role in the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme at EMICS. Furthermore, he has experience as an Assistant Medical Director at the same ambulance service, as well as working as a General Practitioner at Oakham Medical Practice, and as a Civil Servant - General Practitioner at Defence Primary Healthcare Service.

In addition to his current executive role, Dr. Roberts has a rich history in critical care and pre-hospital care. He has served as a Critical Care Doctor at Great Western Air Ambulance, and as a HEMS Doctor at Lincolnshire Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. Furthermore, he has significant experience in military healthcare, having worked as an Army Medical Officer and Pre-Hospital Critical Care Doctor in the British Army.
