Leo Prieto
Leo Prieto is a Chilean entrepreneur and tech expert who revolutionized the internet industry in Latin America. He founded ImageMaker at an early age and later sold it as an award-winning web development agency that worked with some of the continent's largest clients. Prieto developed a blogging addiction and founded FayerWayer in 2005, a blog and cornerstone for Betazeta, a technology-applied media company. The natural language processing and machine learning used by Betazeta helped it to become the largest network of independent content communities in Latin America. Betazeta was later acquired by Sweden-based Metro International, the world's largest newspaper. Prieto was also CEO of the first fab lab in Chile, the Santiago Maker Space, from 2015 to 2018. Since 2018, he's been the CEO and founder of Odd Industries, where he's working on Lemu, an atlas of the biosphere that aims to make conservation the best investment possible. Prieto is a TEDx speaker, Endeavor Global Entrepreneur, and has been recognized as the Latin Entrepreneur of the Year, Chilean Entrepreneur of the Year, and a Good 100 recipient.
