Maria Aiolova is an accomplished urban designer, educator, and community builder based in New York City. With a background in architecture and urban design, Aiolova has focused her career on sustainability, climate change adaptation, environmental design, and resilience for cities.

Aiolova has held several leadership roles throughout her career, including being the former Americas Arup University Leader, Associate Principal at Arup, Academic Director for Global Programs at CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange, and Co-Founder of Terreform ONE.

In her role as Arup University Leader, Aiolova managed day-to-day operations, staff development, budget, and technology related to Arup University to increase learning, knowledge sharing, research, and venture activities across the Americas region. She worked closely with Business Leaders to develop the Learning Paths program.

Aiolova is the creator of several educational programs such as ONE Lab by Terreform ONE and programs in the disciplines of Architecture, Design, Sustainability, and Environment at CIEE. Her programs have trained numerous young and seasoned professionals, helping them reach their full potential.

Aiolova has received several accolades throughout her career, including being awarded "Woman of the Decade in Science and Design Leadership" at the Women Economic Forum in Cairo, Egypt.

Overall, Aiolova is an expert in leadership in learning & development, research and innovation, curriculum development, strategic planning, organizational development, e-learning, nonprofit organization, fundraising, program management, leadership training, public speaking, sustainability, climate change adaptation, resilience, urban design, and environmental design.
