Lav Varshney

Lav Varshney is a prominent figure in the field of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, currently living in Urbana-Champaign.

He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he also pursued his E.E. degree and a degree in Theoretical Neuroscience at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Additionally, Lav Varshney studied Théorie de l'Information at EPFL and completed his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.

Lav Varshney has an extensive professional background, having served as an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to this, he held the position of Chief Scientist at Ensaras, Inc., Principal Research Scientist at Salesforce, Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Research Staff Member at IBM. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Instructor at MIT, a Teaching Assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and held Engineering Intern roles at Syracuse Research Corporation and Sensis.
