Bernard Ghanem

Dr. Bernard Ghanem is an accomplished Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a focus on computer vision and machine learning.

He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's of Engineering in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where he conducts research in large scale video understanding, vision for automated navigation, and theoretical foundations.

Dr. Bernard Ghanem has a rich professional background, previously holding roles such as Co-Founder at AutoScout, Inc., Assistant Professor, Research Scientist, and Senior Research Scientist at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, as well as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He also has industry experience, having been a Research Intern at Vision Technology Inc. and Siemens Healthcare, specializing in Computer Aided Diagnosis.

His academic journey includes being a Research Assistant and PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, contributing to his expertise and knowledge in the field.
