Lauren Murphy is a gender equity specialist with a focus on advancing women in global supply chains. She has a strong background in designing gender mainstreaming strategies in both public and private sectors, financial inclusion programs, and initiatives promoting corporate gender equality leadership.
Throughout her career, Lauren has collaborated with various financial and non-financial intermediaries, women's networks, global corporations, social enterprises, and non-profits to enhance access to products and services for women.

Lauren has contributed to publications such as the 'Women's Entrepreneurial Venture Scope' with the Economist Intelligence Unit, 'The Power of Gender Equality in the Workplace' white paper with the EDGE Certified Foundation, and 'Gender Lens Investing' with ESADE.
With extensive experience in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly in countries like Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Paraguay, Lauren has a solid background in the field. She also possesses field experience in Bangladesh.
Lauren Murphy holds a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor's in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Florida.
Her professional journey includes serving as the Global Director at ICRW Advisors with the International Center for Research on Women. Previously, Lauren held roles such as Director of Dignity of Women, Sustainable Supply Chains at Walmart, Investment Officer for Gender Equality at IDB Invest, Development Effectiveness Specialist at IDB Invest, Operations Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, and various consultant roles at organizations like the Multilateral Investment Fund, BRAC, and Rotary International.
