Lauren Fitzgerald is a versatile arts professional with a unique focus on bringing communities together through non-traditional learning spaces, social justice, and the arts.
With a background in program management, organizational development, fundraising in the arts, youth services, and community engagement, Lauren also boasts skills in acting for the stage, stage management, and performing arts production.
Her academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from The University of Tennessee, where she honed her craft and passion for the arts.
Throughout her career, Lauren has held various roles in esteemed organizations such as the Intercultural Leadership Institute, Strategize 619, Jefferson Street United Merchants Partnership Community Development Corporation, Metro Nashville Arts Comm, and Alternate ROOTS, where she served as Roots Week Stage Manager and Conference Co-curator.
Her experience extends to positions like Library Associate at Nashville Public Library, Reading Enrichment Program Tutor/Staff at Martha O'Bryan Center, Fundraiser at Save the Children International and Nashville Firefighters Association, and Artistic Associate at The Carpetbag Theatre.
Lauren's interests also branch out into entertainment and copyright law, showcasing a well-rounded professional with a deep-rooted passion for the intersection of arts, community, and social change.
