Lauren Benson

Lauren Benson is a biomechanist with a strong focus on sports and rehabilitation research. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science with a GPA of 4.0 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Master of Science (MS) in the same field with a GPA of 3.9 from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Chemistry from Amherst College.
With a wealth of experience, Lauren has held various key positions in different organizations. She is currently the Senior Manager of Research at Tonal. Previously, she worked as an Associate Data Scientist at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary. Her academic journey includes being an Ad hoc Instructor in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Coach for USA Field Hockey, a Science and Math Tutor at WyzAnt Tutoring, a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and various teaching roles at Amherst College and Johns Hopkins University.
Additionally, Lauren Benson has a rich coaching background having served as the Head Varsity Reserve/JV Field Hockey Coach at University School of Milwaukee, U-19/U-14 Coach at Nomads Field Hockey Club, and more. Her diverse experience extends to roles such as Chemistry Teacher, Dorm Head, and Multi-Sport Coach at The Williston Northampton School, and Assistant Director of Operations for U.S. Scholar-Athlete Games at the Institute for International Sport.
