Laura Kasinof is a seasoned freelance print journalist and the author of the memoir, Don't Be Afraid of the Bullets: An Accidental War Correspondent in Yemen. Her vast experience includes reporting for prominent publications like the New York Times, Harper's, the Nation, and many others. She specializes in covering a wide range of topics, from the trade of foreign domestic workers in the Middle East to issues faced by women in the US military. Additionally, Laura has delved into investigative reporting on complex subjects like former Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh's ties to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Her work spans across countries such as Egypt, Yemen, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Spain, and the USA, showcasing her global perspective and expertise.
