Laszlo Bock

Laszlo Bock is an accomplished business leader and co-founder of Humu, a company that uses machine learning and scientific methods to enhance work quality. Before founding Humu, he was responsible for managing and expanding Google's workforce for ten years as head of the company's people function. Bock oversaw all employee-related issues, including recruitment, professional development, and employee engagement programs. During his tenure at Google, the company received numerous accolades for its work culture, including over 100 employer choice awards and being named the Best Company to Work For more than 30 times globally. In 2010, Bock edged out other business leaders to clinch the "Human Resources Executive of the Year" award from HR Executive Magazine. Before joining Google, Bock held several managerial positions, including roles at General Electric, McKinsey & Company, and run-ins with start-ups and a few nonprofits. He is a graduate of Yale University, where he earned his MBA from the Yale School of Management, and Pomona College, where he gained his BA in Economics. Bock has authored "Work Rules! Insights from Inside Google to Transform How You Live and Lead," a book that showcases how Google manages its workforce. The book has received critical acclaim, being named one of the best business books of 2015 by several publications.
