Ksenia Soloveva

Ksenia Soloveva is a dedicated researcher with a profound interest in brain mechanisms and consciousness. Her primary focus is on developing technology to alter states of consciousness for enhanced work, education, or therapeutic purposes. She advocates for the importance of high-quality brain models in achieving these goals. During her PhD studies, she extensively utilized computational modeling techniques based on various neural networks such as Hopfield networks, McCulloch-Pitt's neurons, LIF, and Hodgkin-Huxley neurons. Ksenia has also delved into establishing connections between artificial network architecture and brain mechanisms while actively engaging in experimental data analysis.

Her expertise includes conducting experiments with EEG using both dry and wet electrodes to explore cognitive functions, meditation, mathematical problem-solving, and visual image perception. Ksenia is well-versed in EEG data processing techniques, such as spectral analysis, functional connectivity analysis, evoked potentials analysis, and applying elements of machine learning for data analysis. She is skilled in calculating information metrics like Lempel-Ziv and entropy. Additionally, Ksenia has hands-on experience in conducting fNIRS experiments and processing data, particularly focusing on mean TSI values related to prefrontal cortex activity during cognitive tasks. She proficiently handles data processing using Python and MATLAB.

In terms of education, Ksenia Soloveva pursued her PhD in Biophysics at the Department of Molecular Biological Physics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), following her Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Physics at the same institution. Throughout her career, Ksenia has held various positions in prestigious organizations, including Research Advisor at Aspect Health, Postdoctoral Scholar at Georgia State University, and Associate Professor at MIPT, Phystech. She has served as a Researcher and acting Head of Lab at the University 20.35 Laboratory of Functional Neurophysiology and as a Product Manager at WIKIUM. Moreover, Ksenia's professional journey includes roles such as Analyst at AMG Capital, co-founder and R&D Director at Virtual Reality Systems, Junior Scientist at MIPT, Phystech, and Junior Researcher at the Scientific-Research Institute of System Analysis RAS. Furthermore, she contributed as a Coach for the Russian team of schoolchildren in Physics at MIPT, Phystech.
