Dusty Miller

Dusty Miller is a highly educated individual with a strong background in Biomolecular Science and Engineering. They completed a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, after earning a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California, Irvine. Dusty also holds an Associate of Science degree in Biology from Golden West College. During their academic journey, Dusty engaged in impactful research and teaching roles, exploring topics ranging from biophysical chemistry to organic chemistry and the innate immune system.

As a postdoctoral scholar at Vanderbilt University, Dusty currently works in the Cliffel lab on cutting-edge projects related to toxicological testing and solar energy conversion. Their research involves creating organotypic cultures, developing electrochemical detection methods, and utilizing photosystems for fabricating biohybrid photovoltaic devices and nanocircuitry. Dusty's primary focus lies in the chemistry and physics of biological systems, with a keen interest in natural materials and redox reactions.
