Working with 38 BIPOC young women and gender expansive activists from I Am Why, I aimed to bring their vision to life in an illustrative hard cover, bound book based on their writing and art. The young women were the writers, editors and artists. As I collaborated with the young activists throughout the design process, my goal was to elevate their voices, allowing their words and artwork to lead the reader through their stories and visions of justice. https://iamwhy.org

Downtown for Democracy is a political action committee founded by creative people to transform cultural influence into political power. For the November 2018 Midterm Elections, D4D launched an ad campaign to engage young women in the political process and inspire them to use their voice for change. We created an uplifting, fashion-inspired, action-oriented social campaign designed to encourage young women to get involved and register to vote. The campaign also included video, booths at SXSW and pre-election show The Protest Factory at Deitch Projects in SOHO.

Downtown for Democracy

Art Director

Developed an art curriculum of creative exercises for the beta test of a new app for the organization and acted as moderator for an online community. The daily prompts were designed to use art to promote emotional health and well-being and to encourage reflection and interaction among the users.
