Krista Marks
Chief Product Officer at Saga Education
Krista Marks is the Chief Product Officer at Saga Education. She joined Saga through the acquisition of Woot Math where she was the CEO and Co-Founder. Prior to her time at Woot Math, Krista held the position of Vice President at Disney, which came about through Disney's acquisition of Kerpoof, a company she co-founded and led as CEO. Her work at Disney and Kerpoof involved creating tools for children to engage in safe online artistic activities. Krista's achievements include receiving the Kids at Play Interactive (KAPi) award for 'Emerging Pioneer' at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show. Before venturing into the education and entertainment sectors, Krista's career began as a hardware engineer managing products and teams at Xilinx, a semiconductor company. Noteworthy is her tenure at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where her contributions to high-energy physics instrumentation were recognized with the lab's highest achievement award. Additionally, Krista is actively involved in the tech and startup community, serving on the board of directors for the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and the Silicon Flatirons Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado. She has also been a mentor at Techstars, a well-known startup accelerator.
