Klint Rose
Head of R&D at Bionano
Klint Rose is the Head of Research and Development at Bionano Genomics.34 He previously co-founded and served as the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of Purigen Biosystems, a company formed in 2012 with technology licensed from Stanford University.1 Rose earned his PhD with Dr. Juan Santiago at Stanford University's Microfluidics Laboratory.1
In 2022, Bionano acquired Purigen Biosystems, and as part of the integration plan, Rose became a Bionano fellow and was tasked with leading the development of isotachophoresis (ITP) solutions for Optical Genome Mapping (OGM).1 This acquisition was seen as a strategic move to simplify the end-to-end workflow for OGM and expand Bionano's technology portfolio for sample preparation.1
Rose's expertise lies in the development of ITP-based methods for ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) DNA isolation, which is crucial for Bionano's OGM technology.1 He continues to play a key role in Bionano's research and development efforts, particularly in advancing OGM applications and workflows.2
