Kiran Pervez

Dr. Kiran Pervez holds a PhD in International Relations from American University, an M.A. in Media Ecology from New York University, and a B.S. in Communication Studies also from New York University.
With a wealth of experience in diplomatic and advisory roles, Dr. Pervez has served at various capacities in the U.S. Department of State, including as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Pakistan Affairs, Regional Political Affairs Advisor for NEA, Team Lead & South Asia Advisor, and Unit Chief for South & Central Asia, among other roles.
Prior to his government service, Dr. Pervez worked as a Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution, a Media & Communications Consultant focusing on South Asia & the Middle East as an Independent Consultant, and as a Visiting Instructor of International Relations at Lehigh University and Instructor at New York University.
