Kimi Kean is a passionate and results-driven education leader with over 20 years of experience in public education.

She has served in various roles including teacher, principal, principal supervisor, and superintendent in both district and charter organizations.

Kimi Kean is committed to equity and continuous growth, using her own journey from high school dropout to inspire change for underserved scholars in public education.

Her educational background includes a Master of Arts (MA) in Curriculum and Instruction, a Tier I Administrative Services Credential in Urban Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Ethnic Studies with a Social Science Emphasis.

She has also participated in the Women in Educational Leadership Institute at Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

Kimi Kean's professional experience includes being the co-founder and CEO of Families in Action for Quality Education, serving as an Education Strategist, Superintendent, Regional Executive Officer, Principal, Assistant Principal, Bilingual Teacher, and Academic Coordinator in various educational institutions.

She has worked with notable organizations such as Aspire Public Schools, Oakland Unified School District, and East Bay Asian Youth Center.
