Khalil Ramadi is an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at NYU and Director of the Laboratory for Advanced Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine at NYU Abu Dhabi.
His research interests lie in developing non-invasive technologies for neuromodulation to create more effective therapies for neurological, endocrine, and immune disorders.
He earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology division.
Khalil also holds the role of MENA Regional Director of MIT Hacking Medicine, focusing on innovative healthcare solutions globally, and is keen on translating ideas from research to practical applications through entrepreneurship.
His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics from Harvard-MIT, an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, a BS in Bioengineering and another BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.
Throughout his career, Khalil has been associated with various prestigious organizations such as NYU Abu Dhabi, MIT, Project Prana Foundation, TED Conferences, Brigham and Women's Hospital, among others, in roles ranging from Assistant Professor to Board Member to Co-Founder.
