Kevin Richardson

Kevin Richardson is a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council (C. Eng) and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineer (FIMechE). He is also a Member of the European Engineering Institution (Eur Ing) with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (B. Eng) degree. With 30 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry, including 25 years on contract, 3 years in the Nuclear Industry, and 7 years in the General Engineering Industry, Kevin has extensive expertise as a Stress Engineer. In total, he has 40 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, having worked on a variety of projects in the aircraft, nuclear, and general engineering sectors.

Kevin Richardson's project involvement spans across a range of aircraft including Dassault F7X, Airbus A350 & A380, NH90 Helicopter, Boeing 767-300, F35, A400M, BAE146 ARA, Airbus A340-300, A330, A340, Nimrod MRA4, Hawk T45 & MK165, VC10, Tornado ADV & IDS, and ATP. In the nuclear sector, he has contributed to projects like Sizewell 'B' power station and the European Fast Reactor. General engineering projects include work on Barber Greene Road finisher, Thompson Concrete Pumps, and Trolex Hydraulic/Electrical swivel stack. Kevin specializes in Stress Analysis of Metallic & Composite Parts using various methods such as Hand Calculations, FEM, Fatigue & Dam Tol, ISAMI, and employs a strong theoretical approach to problem-solving.

With a thorough understanding of traditional methods like those from Bruhn, Niu, ESDU, Roark, and more, Kevin excels in presenting, discussing, implementing, reporting, and maintaining proposed solutions.
