As President and Chair of the Board of Directors, I work collaboratively with the Executive Director and members of the Board to pursue the mission of this organization:  to 1) Promote excellence in the performing arts, 2) Provide comprehensive music instruction, 3) Develop the habits and disciplines of excellence in the lives of children, 4) Address adverse childhood experience in the lives children and youth.  

YACM is committed to remaining relevant in the lives of children and youth and their families. Children and youth are increasingly falling behind in their development. We recognize that music education and the performing arts create positive experiences for children and youth and places them in relationship with healthy adults.

Senior Haven Assisted Living is a new assisted living facility. We believe we are created for relationship with others. Health and wholeness come when we share life together. We provide assisted-living services that promote the dignity of every human being.

LifeStar Sacramento is the region's longest standing and most successful Intensive Outpatient Program treating sexual addiction and hyper-sexuality disorder. The Executive Director has successfully built a team of sexual addiction therapists. She has opened a second office in the region with plans to open more. My role is to build on the organization's legacy of successful client-outcomes and to create operational efficiency so therapists can stay focused on their clients. I am also refocusing the LifeStar Sacramento message, creating new channels in Social Media, and strengthening partnering relationships with other healthcare providers.

This new position at Archway provides strategic guidance and leadership for this addiction treatment program that has served the people of Solano County for over 18 years. The Founder and Executive Director has touched the lives of over 1600 men and their families giving them the hope of recovery. My role is to help Archway adapt and expand its services to address the overwhelming need for affordable and effective addiction treatment services.

I was the Director of Business Development for Focus Healthcare of California, a start-up that opened in November, 2012. We were successfully acquired in January 2014. After supporting the transition to the new owner and rebuilding the Clinical Outreach team under the priorities of the new owner, my position was (appropriately) eliminated as part of the acquisition.

The Director of Business Development reports to the National Director of the Focus Treatment Centers.  The Director of Business Development is responsible to facilitate the growth of the organization. My primary role was to participate with other senior leaders in focusing our mission and building the team for this start-up. We were successful acquired in June 2014.

Together Growing provides a place from which to support the continued development of the Root Values concept.  I support leaders in the application of the PACT-L to improve their performance as well as the performance of their teams.

I facilitated the development of the strategy for this accounting brokerage firm to expand its brand and services.  This required re-visioning the organization from a transaction oriented business to a consulting services oriented business.  I established executive coaching program to support accounting and tax professionals in the development of their practices.  I worked with the founder to design a succession planning process to facilitate better exit planning for accounting and tax professionals.

I led the organization in converting irregular and unstable funding sources to regular and stable contributor pool.  Under my leadership stakeholders contributed to a process that resulted in the refocusing of priorities in order to better serve a changing market.  Together we addressed organizational dysfunction and instituted a policy of administrative transparency.  The governance board formalized policies to support program development and evaluation.  They organization learned to empower leadership through a direct system of accountability

I led this organization in building constituency committed to resourcing mission.  With leader-partners we transitioned organization though three phases of growth. Management structures have unique requirements depending on the size of the organization.  This required anticipating management requirements ahead of growth, hiring and training professional staff to maintain organizational momentum and responsiveness to constituency.  
Together we addressed organizational anxiety associated with rapid growth, encouraged a proactive approach to change among staff and constituency through a continuous communication process that improved dialogue and assured shared ownership of mission. I provided continuous training and invited ownership of the change process through delegation of power to stakeholders, while retaining final responsibility for results.
