Kevin Lang

Kevin Lang is a seasoned professional with a strong background in renewable energy finance, currently serving as the Managing Director in the Renewable Energy Finance group at Bank of America.

At Bank of America, Kevin is tasked with the technical evaluation of renewable energy projects, specializing in solar, storage, and wind technologies. He plays a vital role in supporting various processes such as origination, underwriting, and portfolio management.

Kevin's expertise lies in assessing project technology, performance metrics, and key contracts. He is particularly focused on the convergence of technical and commercial aspects of projects, including performance guarantees, risk factors, and commercial risk management for new technologies. Additionally, he provides valuable support to BofA's US Power & Renewables investment banking and advisory group.

Prior to his role at Bank of America, Kevin held the position of Director of Solar Generation at Leidos Engineering. During his tenure, he was involved in technology assessment for a variety of solar projects, ranging from established to emerging technologies. Leidos Engineering, formerly known as SAIC Energy, Environment & Infrastructure, and R.W. Beck, entrusted Kevin with overseeing Independent Engineering for major PV and CSP projects.

Kevin's specialties encompass a wide array of areas including Project Finance, Tax Equity, Due Diligence, Renewable Energy, and Technology Assessment. He has extensive experience in solar, battery storage, wind, combustion, emissions, and experimental systems.

In terms of education, Kevin pursued Mechanical Engineering, culminating in a PhD, SM, and SB from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His academic journey began at Frank Scott Bunnell High School.

Throughout his career, Kevin has held various roles such as Mechanical Engineer at GE Global Research, Editor in Chief at The Tech, MIT, and Summer Intern positions at Ford Motor Company and Dresser, Inc.
