Pedro Costa

Pedro Costa is an outgoing and creative thinker with a strong background in mechanical engineering and exceptional teamwork skills. Born in Canada, raised in Portugal, and primarily working in Sweden, he has a diverse range of project experiences, from managing mountain bike events to setting up pop-up restaurants at music festivals.

With key competencies in creative thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, cross-cultural adaptability, and common sense, Pedro is actively involved in community development in his small-town roots. Currently, he is part of NarrowNet, Portugal's SIGFOX Network Operator, dedicated to the nationwide deployment of a wireless network for the Internet of Things (IoT).

Pedro's educational journey includes diverse experiences such as participating in Aero-Engine Design lectures at the Von Karman Institute, studying Composite Materials in the ATHENS Programme, completing an Erasmus year focusing on Turbulence at Chalmers University, and earning a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.

Throughout his career, Pedro has held roles such as Ecosystem Developer at NarrowNet, Event Director at Raid BTT Minde, Heat Transfer Engineer at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, CFD Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Thesis Intern at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, and AutoCAD Drafter at APEN - Aplicações Energéticas Lda.
