Kerri Pike Knapp

Kerri Knapp is a highly experienced educator and librarian with a diverse professional background. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a focus on Ethnic & Cultural Studies, and a Single Subject Credential in English from Saint Mary's College of California. Additionally, she holds a Credential in Library Services with a specialization in Children and Youth Library Services from Fresno Pacific University.

Kerri has spent over 16 years in the education industry, including eight years as an English teacher at San Ramon Valley High School. In 2013, she became a teacher librarian at Dougherty Valley High School, where she combines her love of teaching and reading to create life-long readers. She is also an experienced public speaker and has developed and led numerous successful professional development workshops and in-services for teachers district-wide.

Alongside her teaching experience, Kerri has experience negotiating contracts for over 1700 teachers and vendors for district and site contracts. She is skilled in managing budgets for schools and is knowledgeable in both site and district budgeting matters. Additionally, Kerri has served on her district's LCFF committee since its inception and has earned additional professional certifications, including TOFEL, College Board AP Seminar & AP Research teacher certification, CTA School Finance, and CTA Bargaining.

Outside of her professional life, Kerri is an avid traveler and has visited six continents, all 50 US states, and over 45 countries.
