Ken Adams

Ken Adams is a highly experienced professional with over 40 years of expertise in tool making, plastic molds, pressure die casting dies, and metal stamping tools.

He holds an HNC certificate in mechanical engineering and has progressed in his career to encompass roles in mold design, product design, various technical management positions, and senior management positions.

With a demonstrated track record in quality control, Ken has excelled in advising on tool room layouts and injection molding departments, notably showcasing his talents as an Interim General Manager in Thailand.

Ken is known for his Total Quality Management (TQM) approach, consistently driving efficiency and enhancing returns wherever applied.

His comprehensive understanding of the entire manufacturing process, from part design to production, shines through in his strengths in mold engineering, molding process development, Design for Manufacture, and Product design across metal pressings, plastic components, and various metal casting processes.

In recent years, Ken has focused on mentoring and teaching teams of Chinese engineers, instilling motivation and expertise in areas including prototyping and production.

Specializing in New Product Introduction, Ken collaborates with industrial designers to navigate projects from product design to packaging and dispatch, incorporating quality control systems, tool manufacture, validation, and more.

His rich background includes servicing esteemed companies like Audi, BMW, Toyota, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, among many others, demonstrating a diverse and robust portfolio of clients.

Ken's educational journey started with a toolmaking apprenticeship at Stow College of Engineering in Glasgow, Scotland, where he also pursued studies in HNC production and mechanical engineering.

Ken has been associated with organizations such as Star Prototype China Ltd., Design and Consulting Services, Gatehill Ltd, and Ecosse Design Associates Ltd, holding roles from design consultant to technical director and chief engineer.

He has been a member of esteemed organizations like PI UK, Mensa UK, and PI South Africa, adding to his professional network and knowledge base.
