    Kelsey Berry is a faculty member at the Center for Bioethics and Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is also an Affiliate Faculty at the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University, where she Co-Directs the Graduate Fellowship in Ethics Program.

    She conducts research on the ethics of health systems and institutions, focusing on the intersection of health and justice. Her work centers on population ethics and the responsibilities of health sector actors in unjust societies.

    Kelsey employs empirical and normative methods to analyze health policy and practice, addressing issues such as the ethics of rationing scarce health resources, the distribution of responsibility for health and social determinants of health (SDOH), and effective models for managing ethical questions in healthcare.

    In addition to her research, Kelsey educates future leaders in bioethics through teaching in the Master of Science in Bioethics program at Harvard Medical School and the Graduate Fellowship in Ethics Program at Harvard University. She also consults with health organizations and leaders on values associated with decision-making.

    Her educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Policy & Ethics from Harvard University and a BA in Political Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Dance from Princeton University.

    Kelsey Berry has held various positions in prestigious organizations such as the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics, Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics, and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
