    Kelly Easterday is the Director of Conservation Technology at the Point Conception Institute and Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve, overseeing GIS, Remote Sensing, and technology projects related to the operation, management, and research at the Preserve.

    Prior to her current role, Kelly was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the California Heartbeat Initiative, focusing on plant-water interactions through field-based experiments, sensor networks, and UAV surveys.

    Her research background includes utilizing historical vegetation surveys to analyze almost a century of changes in California's forest and woodlands.

    Kelly holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Science Policy and Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.

    Throughout her career, Kelly has held positions such as Manager of Conservation Technology and Postdoctoral Researcher at The Nature Conservancy, Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, Staff Researcher at UCANR, and Graduate Student in Environmental Science Policy and Management at UC Berkeley.
