Rachel Ralls is an accomplished professional with over 10 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data management.
She started her career as a GIS intern at The Nature Conservancy in 2005 and has since grown to oversee land protection and monitoring efforts in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Rachel is an expert in mapping, data management, and real estate transactions, contributing significantly to The Nature Conservancy's mission.
She is deeply involved in promoting GIS awareness to the public as the chair of the Central PA GIS Day planning committee, a free annual event organized by Harrisburg University and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Rachel's academic background is equally impressive, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Millersville University, and later obtaining a Certificate in Geospatial Technology from Harrisburg Area Community College before completing her Master's Degree in GeoEnvironmental Studies at Shippensburg University in 2013.
Throughout her career, Rachel has held various roles at The Nature Conservancy, including Conservation Lands Program Manager, Conservation Lands Data Manager / GIS Specialist, and Conservation Information Specialist.
Prior to her current position, Rachel also served as a Professional GIS Tutor at HACC, Conservation Information Assistant, and GIS Intern at The Nature Conservancy, showcasing her dedication to the field of GIS and environmental conservation.
