Kayla Lewis

Kayla Lewis is a talented artist and designer who applies her skills to help bridge the gap between technical jargon and regular audiences. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Art and Technology from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with Professional Writing and Studio Arts minors from The Ohio State University.
Kayla is currently a UX Researcher at IBM Cloud Satellite, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Previously, she worked for companies such as Uptake and IBM Cloud Platform, where she held various design and interaction roles. Additionally, Kayla has taught courses and served as the Science and Technology Editor for F Newsmagazine at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Kayla's approach centers on utilizing research, art, and design to communicate complex ideas to a wider audience, with the aim of dismantling the "over my head" mindset. By creating a sense of community and providing the right tools for learning, Kayla believes that everyone can welcome new experiences and learn new things.
