As a member of the digital communications team, I worked on a daily basis to create and deliver fresh, engaging content to employees across the United States and to improve upon evolving digital communications channels. 

Specifically, I provided and managed content for Planet BP, a network of nine affiliated BP intranet sites that deliver news and information to staff in the US and Canada.

Duties were as follows: 

• Supported publication of news-based website for employees. Planned and maintained editorial/publication schedule. Ensured overall editorial soundness of work. 

• Wrote and edited news articles and other content. Performed research and fact-checking. Developed sources for stories. Interviewed and followed up with sources. Solicited reviews and obtained approvals.

As a technical editor, I managed and edited highly technical inspection reports for the oil and gas industry, consulting SMEs to ensure accuracy and utilizing several program management tools, such as SharePoint.

Duties were as follows:

• Managed and edited reports for Legacy ModuSpec Drilling and Legacy WEST Systems and Controls (such reports include Reports of Survey, Daily Reports, End-of-Inspection Period Summaries, Dropped Object Surveys, FATs, GAP Analyses, etc).

• Maintained and enforced company style and standards, frequently editing and modifying copy to clarify meaning and to conform to style and editorial policy.

• Implemented new processes to encourage an ease of workflow, communication, traceability, and technical accuracy.

• Reviewed proposal and work scope to ensure that client expectations and needs are met.

• Managed reports and ModuSpec Equipment Rating charts through the ModuSpec server.
